2008 / PORTO / QUALIFYING DAY / QUALIFYING 1 AND 2

Qualifying day takes place the day before the race. Each pilot competes in two qualifying sessions where the better result counts and determines the line up for race day where the slowest pilot flies first.

The last four pilots in qualifying go through to the ‘Point One’ session in order to battle it out for one crucial World Championship point and an overall ninth place position in the race. 

The fastest eight pilots in qualifying advance to the ‘Super Eights’ to compete for a place in the Semi Finals.
